What is coaching?

Coaching focuses on what’s happening now and exploring what you would like in the future. It involves setting and achieving goals and lasts for a pre-determined length of time. Each session has a clear objective, and you’ll have tasks and exercises to complete in-between sessions.

This differs from counselling, which looks at things that have happened in the past and can last for many months or years. Both approaches explore present difficulties, but during coaching these are explored in the context of achieving a particular outcome and looking towards the future, rather than exploring things that have happened in the past.
